Overview
The Elevator is a single-player map for Half Life 2: Episode 2. The situation: the player is trapped in an apartment complex and needs to escape. The only way out is the elevator, but it is not powered anymore.
Enemies: Half Life 2 normal zombies, and fast zombie torsos
New Mechanic: The Demons (zombies) freeze in the light. The player uses this as their advantage, luring demons into the light.
With this map, I focused on innovating gameplay in Half Life 2, while maintaining a practical scope. Because it is a smaller map, I was able to create great visuals yet make it really fun to play.
